A 'Cohort' is a unit of organisation within the Imperial Army and form part of a Legion.
Each Cohort consists of 5 or 6 'Centuries' and so, roughly speaking, comprises of 500-600 men. Each Cohort is led by two seasoned officers, an 'Ordinus' and a 'Primus'. In practice, battlefield responsibility for a Cohort falls to a Primus.
