Saurians are the humanoid descendants of the giant reptiles that roamed the world of Oberon many millenia ago.

Over time these reptiles became smaller and more efficient hunters but never developed the magical abilities and extensive culture of other races, such as Dwarves. Once the humanoid races started appearing the Saurians retreated to the desert lands where they lived in seclusion.

All that would change when the humans settled nearby. They called the land Alea'Zhim and initially they were able to cooperate but over time the humans encroached further and further into Saurian lands.

Luckily the Saurian prince, H'Shuush, was able to secure a beneficial treaty after assisting with a coup against the then Pharoah, Ramus.

These days the Saurians and Al'Zhims work together to maintain their ever-shrinking land.
