Sylus Grulch

If the Guild runs Specularum then it is true to say that one man – Grulch, runs the city of Rolac.

Sylus is half-respected merchant and half-insidious crime-lord and no-one seems to be able to tell exactly what he’ll be on any given day. Suffice it to say that its never a good idea to get on the wrong side of this man.

On the plus side, Sylus is now an old man. Although his exact age isn’t known he has been a major player in Rolac since around 270 IC which would make him around 70 years old.

Sylus counters any possibility of his rivals removing him from office by surrounding himself with slave bodyguards, most of whom he has had since birth (thanks to his extensive contacts in the Slave guild). Notably he prefers non-human guards (Orcs and Hobgoblins) who have as much to gain by remaining in his service as not.
