Phyllis Kaal is probably the wealthiest person in the whole of Brindol and relies upon the family fortune built by her grandmother, Verassa.

The family business is money lending and, out in the far reach of the Empire where there are no banks, it has proven to be a very profitable business.

Phyllis is a handsome Thorastine woman in her mid-40s. She usually travels surrounded by her personal retinue of slave bodyguards. She has had several husbands and she is, allegedly, always looking for the next one. They just need to be handsome and very, very rich.
