Chapter One
Chapter One of Oberon Campaign One was focused on two short sessions on Aanvang Island in order to start to get a 'feel' for how the party dynamics would work and to iron out any problems with the campaign setting. Before the first session there was an 'offline' Pre-Session to determine how everyone had met.
Pre-Session 1
Date: 11th Novembus 343IC At the great halls of learning in Academia students from across the Merebian Empire have returned after the long Summer break.
During this Summer though Lady Scylla Abraxas, accompanied by her bodyguard Myles Freeman advertise for adventurers to assist her in her goal. This is answered by Gnarvak Underheim and Jeremiah Fizzlebang, a member of the Library faculty, whose aims broadly align with that of Scylla.
What aims are these? Scylla desired to learn more about the nature of demons and her old tutor, Professor Harpax Caldus, suggested that she might start by observing the one race that is very open about their worship of a demon; the Gnolls! Of course, since the end of the last war there are few Gnolls anywhere in Imperial Lands but Professor Caldus has heard rumours that they might be found in greater numbers in the kingdom of Thorast.
And so our newly-formed group get passage on a ferry and head to Aanvang Island, the nearest port of Thorast.

Session 1: "Only Fools and Horses"
Date: 18th Novembus 343IC
- The group arrived at Aanvang island and headed to Heerlen.
- Scylla caused a mild panic by asking about Gnolls.
- Stayed in "The Emperor's Crown".
Date: 19th Novembus 343IC
- Heard from Derick that his brother, Rodney, the gravedigger had gone missing.
- Attacked by zombies at the graveyard.
- A 'standing stone' circle was located. This was a portal to a secret lab of the Cerulean Chancery.
- Backed up by a small number of militia men the group use the portal.
- The vampire, Tereza, was released and it was discovered that a mage, Margaux, was experimenting on Rodney (now also a vampire).
- Tereza attacked a young guard (Jimmy).
- The group dispatched Tereza and saved Jimmy.
Session 2: "An Adventure with Historians"
Date: 19th Novembus 343IC
- The group confronted Margaux. When Rodney tried to escape, Marguax cast "Dimension Door" to escape to the nearby pump house.
- Margaux was killed by Rodney in the pump house.
- The group pushed Rodney into the pump house furnace.
- The militia guards and the party returned to Heerlen.
Date: 20th Novembus 343IC
- Overnight Jimmy was taken by the Chancery, for reasons unknown.
- Group headed to Heidel and investigatde the tomb of Pallus the Pious with two historians (Leo and Ivan)
- The first magic item was found ("The Letter Opener")!
We then moved on to Chapter Two.
