Larenfast
Location
Larenfast is a village located on the SE edge of Lake Viridian, where the Welcome Hills meet the Hammer Peaks of Thorast. It is one of just three settlements around the lake, the other two being Hirschorn and Fort Viridian.
Population
Unlike Hirschorn, Larenfast is a predominantly Human village. Of its 400 or so residents, over 70% are Humans, with a further 20% being Dwarves. A few Gnomes, Elves and Tieflings making up the remainder. There are no Ymirkin permanently resident in the village.
Description
Larenfast is an unwalled village comprising of single-story dwellings, situated right on the edge of the lake. As there are no space concerns, it is reasonably spread out, being about 300m west-east and 400m north-south.
Defences
Larenfast is a very typical lakeside village and has no defences such as a wall or Town Watch. The local populace keep an eye out for bandits but otherwise natural threats, such as wolves and flooding, are more pressing concerns. Although not within the catchment area for Fort Viridian it regularly sends out patrols to monitor the east side of the lake and so, for one day a week, the village will have a Contubernium in residence.

Larenfast only gets a limited number of travellers passing through, usually on their way to the Sunlit Highlands and so has just one Inn and one tavern.
