Session 27: "The Road to Hell is Paved with Good Intentions"

46th Decembus 343IC

  • Io Sincere and Roric Pinethorn visit the Cerulean Chancery bearing a message for Chancellor Direforge
  • Direforge reads message and agrees to dispatch the Echespalus to deal with the devils plaguing Lyrazante
  • Io and Roric are requested to report on the actions of Scylla and Gnarvak on the 51st Decembus
  • Direforge speaks to Scyall, Gnarvak, Io and Roric and tells them that he needs more info on the Mafistos. Suggests telling them about a fake project (Project: Blob)
  • The Mafistos request the group's presence at a dinner party where they meet Sir Piers de Lavison


47th Decembus 343IC

  • The Mafistos "suggest" that the group should protect Sir de Lavison against any attacks by thieves (but most definitely NOT kill anyone)
  • Shockingly, de Lavison is attacked but a well-placed "Calm Emotions" spell saves the day
  • de Lavison discovers that his house had been burgled


48th Decembus 343IC

  • de Lavison reports that very little was stolen but he has lost a brooch that his late wife was fond of
  • the Mafistos suggest that the group speak to "Shilling" - a Dwarven 'fence' working for the local Thieves' Guild


Session 29: "Fangs for the (Nightmarish) Memories"

48th Decembus 343IC

  • The group speak to "Shilling" at a local tavern called "The Dagger"
  • Shilling directs them to a Gnome thief called "Rigsby" who can be found at "the Meathouse" (the mass burial chamber for paupers)
  • After speaking to the staff at the temple of Hades the Meathouse is entered
  • The Meathouse is 'occupied' by a group of vampires, lead by none other than Gustov von Zarovich!
  • A fraught battle ensues, ending in a gas-fuelled corpse explosion


Session 30: “The Mafisto Job, pt. II - Ignorance is Bliss”

48th Decembus 343IC

  • The group tend to their wounds post-battle
  • After a brief conversation in "the Elf's Head" our heroes report in to the Mafistos
  • The brooch is returned to de Lavison. In return a request is made to consider Lord Winterhaven's application to become a diplomat is to considered
