Guild of Courtesans, Harlots and Strumpets

There are many guilds throughout the Merebian Empire representing all manner of professions but few are as old or well-organised as the Guild of Courtesans, Harlots and Strumpets.

As the name suggests this is a guild run by and for the many prostitutes that wish to make a living selling sexual favours. The Guild has many branches, located throughout the Empire, but all tend to have the following in common:

1. A set price list for "services" 2. Certified members to be clean of diseases and parasites (for which Church fees are paid for regularly) 3. A centralised place of business 4. The upmost discretion

Despite the name, the Guild happily welcomes all genders into its membership.

Members not only get a significant proportion (over 60%) of their "service fees" to keep, but are afforded protection from prosecution and unwarranted advances. Additionally Guild ensure that all members who so wish can gain access to legal, investment and education services. Many Guild members leave the profession with a moderate degree of wealth, contacts and a fair number of transferable skills making them excellent employees in a wide variety of more desirable occupations.
