Zotaquaan

Although little of Zotaquaan's early life is publicly known, he has stated on more than one occasion to have studied at the Tower of the Heavens. The Tower, famed for its meticulous book-keeping does have a record of a scholar by this name staying there around 300 years ago. Whether this is the same Zotaquaan or not is a matter of contention.

Regardless of his actual origins his arcane might is so great that he was able to transcend mortality itself and become an Ascended being.

Although the native denizens of his kingdom, Skaravos, pay him homage and some mages revere him as a deity, he is not yet powerful enough to be considered a demi-god. His clerics and paladins still receive their divine power directly from him instead of via a proxy which, considering the fact that he still travels widely, has lead to to at least one follower buying him a drink and asking for a favour.
