Fort Viridian

Situated by the lake which is its namesake, this fort is typical of many scattered across Thorast.

Fort Viridian is home to the 5th cohort of the 62nd Imperial Legion (about 500 men), and as such is capable of patrolling an area only about one-third the size of the outpost at Shadowfell Keep. Due to this there are many towns and villages near the fort which actually fall outside of the area which they can regularly patrol. Hence many of these settlements are assigned one or two contubernia on "permanent loan" to aid with their defence.
