"Teleport Hut®" is a franchise business operating right across the Merebian Empire.

History

"Teleport Hut®" is a commercial venture controlled by a group of Magi known as "The Nightingale's Eye" and relies upon the Djinn-controlled network of Touchstones. It has been permitted to operate in the Empire since an agreement was reached with the Cerulean Chancery to provide teleportation services to the general public in 126IC.

Rival Services

The main rival to the profit-margin of "Teleport Hut®" is the Chancery's own network of Teleportation circles. However, the Chancery's network is considered to be a "premium" service as opposed to the slower but more widespread "popular" teleportation service run by "Teleport Hut®"

Pricing

A standard teleport of one, medium-sized humanoid, to any location in the "Teleport Hut®" network is usually 10 Centari. However "Teleport Hut®" regularly runs "deals" whereby more people can take advantage of their services during 'off-peak' times (for example, in Winter). They also charge much more for last-minute teleports immediately before Festivals.

Problems

Although entirely safe for Djinn, some adverse effects have been observed in other races that use "Teleport Hut®" services repeatedly. It is always recommended that travellers read the advisory notice before using a Touchstone.
