Pauldrak Redblade is a middle-aged Mountain Dwarf who acts as the "Master of Arms" for the town of Hammer Hold in Thorast.
The title of "Master of Arms" is the functional equivalent of "Watch Captain" of a Town Watch and Hammer Hold's Watch are often referred to as "Armsmen". Pauldrak has been "Master of Arms" since before the last war and has no plans for retirement.
