The Kleinius Vale is the name given to the south-west region of Thorast, specifically to a corridor of towns stretching the 50km or so from Brindol, through Blackroot then Winterhaven and up to Wayfarer's Rest. It is the region to the SW of the Welcome Hills.
The region is mostly unremarkable except for the fact that is the area which is famed for the production of timber and for "chikia", a root vegetable similar to a carrot but with a strongly 'nutty' taste.
Population
The whole of the Kleinius Vale has a population estimated to be around 60,000 people (of various races), about half of which live in towns and villages along the Dwarf Road, the main road built by the Imperial Army and which runs across the Kleinius Vale and up into the Welcome Hills.
