The Fae Road is the name given to the area north of Overlook up to the coast and, arguably, covers a region as far east as Fort Inferno.
The Fae Road is so named because of the old, Elven highway that runs through much of the region. This highway was built along a road that predates even Overlook and, although not originally of Elven origin, it was adopted (and maintained) by the Elves right up to their recent exodus from the Empire.
The Fae Road terminates at the port of Seaquen to the north and at Fermat's Pass in the south and hence runs a distance of almost 45 km. Whilst not a particularly long road by Imperial standards it is thought to be the longest Elven road in existence.
The above facts alone would normally be more than sufficient to warrant an interest in the Fae Road but in addition the road passes straight through the middle of the, rather unimaginatively named, Everburning Forest.
