Location

Brindol is situated on the river Brind, just a shade over 10km from the west coast of Thorast, this walled town has previously gone by the names of Brindford and Brindton before settling on it's current name in the year 310 IC.

Brindol

The name change was to celebrate the town's victory over "The Red Fist Army" which had plagued towns along the east coast of Thorast for over a year. The final showdown between the 33rd Imperial legion and this army took place just west of the town and is now known as "The Battle of the Brind".

Population

Brindol 'proper' has a population of just over 6000 citizens of various nationalities and races. As it is the first large town that visitors to Thorast from the western countries of the Empire reach, it is a "moderately" cosmopolitan settlement. By that it is meant that the "official" races of the Empire are welcome but others will be treated with suspicion until they have proved themselves trustworthy.

Numerous farmsteads surround the town, adding nearly 1000 extra people to the town's potential population.
