Signed in 314 IC, this treaty formally ended the hostility between the Independent Nations and the Merebian Empire. It also allowed the return of the kingdom of Chundria to Imperial control after 9 years of occupation by non-human forces.
It is often considered the defining act of Emperor Ephestus's reign but many historians believe that this was as much the result of the General's desire to see peace as the Empire's.
The exact nature of the treaty is somewhat complex but most people understand its three basic principles;
1) The Empire would refrain from all expansion eastwards, or in any direction that would lead to the Independant Nations becoming annexed
2) The Independant Nations would withdraw from all occupied Imperial lands (primarily Chundria)
3) The Empire would have access to lands beyond the Independant Nations by using the Independant Nations as a "proxy"
This allowed both sides to claim "victory" whilst ensuring an sound trading relationship.
Lastly the Emperor also imposed the immediate removal of the entire Chundrite royal family, who he saw as partly to blame for the occupation in the first place. This has lead to the installation of a new royal family.
The signatories of the Treaty are: Dominus Thorast Chundria Bal-Morath Yuritan Nallurok Urkarus Mortarch
