The Merebian Empire is a cultured, civilised society and hence they have long acknowledged the need for its citizens to go to the toilet.
In most small towns and villages there is a communal toilet, which is usually little more than a shed with a hole inside. In major towns and cities though the toilets are large, communal areas with moderately comfy seats and (for a small price) the option of a wash-stick.
