Nearly half-day's walk east of Wayfarer's Rest is the relatively unassuming village of 'Stiks'.
Until the latter half of the 1100's IE this village was one of the last strongholds of the worship of the god Loki. However, after centuries of random misfortunes the populace revolted against the priests running the local temple and coverted, nearly entirely, to the worship of Demeter.
Since that time the populace have enjoyed bountiful harvests and good health. This has made he people of 'Stiks' some of the happiest in the entire Empire and they welcome visitors as if they were members of their own family.
