Io Sincere is a female Human Paladin of Apollo.
Io is a player character in Oberon Campaign One.
Immediate Family
Io was the third of five children in her family, as follows:
- Nicholas Sincere: Father
- Yara: Mother
- Alec: Brother (eldest)
- Egan: Brother (older)
- Orin: Brother (younger)
- Urion: Brother (youngest, deceased)
Although all of her grandparents are deceased, Io knows that she has uncles, aunts and cousins.
Early Life
Io Sincere was born and raised in the city of Almanae. Her father, Nicholas, was a Captain in the city Watch. Her mother, Yara, a poet and musician. Io was the middle child and only girl among four brothers.
Education
Yara supplemented her children’s schooling by reading them poetry, painting with them and teaching them how to play a variety of musical instruments. As much as Io adored her mother and the arts she shared with her children, she had almost no ear for music or patience for drawing. Instead she showed a much greater aptitude for athletic pursuits.
Background
Although initially intending to only become a priestess of Apollo, the priests of the city’s temple encouraged Io to nurture the talents she had in Apollo’s name. So she began to train with the temple acolytes with some fighting experience, then with the temple’s aid she sought out experts in the city military to hone her athleticism and skill with weapons.
Class
Io spent some time using her skills to guard the temple, but after 4 years of training and city temple life she was becoming restless. So, in consultation with the temple priests, Io took up her halberd and the mantle of Paladin of Apollo, to defend the freedom of those who couldn’t defend themselves. There could be no art in a world filled with darkness, she needed to champion the light and inspire others to see the beauty of life.
Adventuring Career
