The Pit of Despair is a tavern in the town of Hammer Hold in Thorast. Locally referred to as "the Pit" it is typically thought of as an "adventurer's bar" there is also regular entertainment for the locals here as well. It's a loud busy tavern that also brews the better of the two local beers: Hammer Hops.
The Pit is owned by Ulara Carawicz - a Human female originally from Chundria and is staffed by various Humans and Dwarves. On the door are two Ymirkin "bouncers" - Grellis and Oxlaw - who ensure that any rowdy behaviour is kept inside the Pit.
