Little is known about the self-styled vigilante (and outlaw) known as the Spectre, other than it is a male High Elf, armed with a silver longsword, who performs seemingly random acts of either good or evil.
He appeared in Erganth in 325 IC, after an absence (or period of inactivity) of some 6 years.
There is a bounty on his head of 25 centari for his capture alive (15 if dead). Surprisingly, few people have yet risen to seek the bounty. This is probably due to his reputation of being able to walk through walls and become invisible. Rumours are that the Spectre is really the ghost of an Elven warrior slain unjustly. Others say that he is an Elven mage seeking revenge for the death of a lover.
Whoever he is, he appears never to go to the island of Avalon, where many of the Faerie dwell. Perhaps he is in exile or hiding from his people. Such mysteries are the stuff that folklore is made of and, if nothing else, it passes the time in front of the fire for bards to speculate on.
