An event that very nearly destroyed Oberon but instead 'merely' killed millions of people and caused the breakdown of practically all of the humanoid civilisations. It would take over a millennium for the Human culture to return to a semblance of its pre-Cataclysm state (with the formation of the Merebian Empire).
