The Stone Wyvern

The Stone Wyvern is a large tavern situated near the west gate of the town of Brindol. It is owned and operated by the Hill Dwarf, Drun Trollgrip. Drun employs 54 staff (2 barmen, a cook, a cleaner and a stablehand to help him run the establishment.

The Stone Wyvern, with it's stables, is grouped around a small central courtyard in which stands its namesake: a stone wyvern which stands at about six feet tall at its shoulder. The legend is that this is a petrified wyvern but anyone with any arcane or nature knowledge will be able to tell that it's far too small (and not detailed enough) to actually be a petrified wyvern. It is far more likely to just be a good quality wyvern statue.

The Stone Wyvern has six 2-bed rooms, 2 four-bed rooms and a single communal space where people can sleep on the floor (fits a dozen average Humans). Prices are 12 unari a night for a bed or 6 unari to sleep on the floor. Meals range from 7-10 uinari and beer is 2-3 unari. The Stone Wyvern also sells wine at 5 unari a mug. For those with very deep pockets Drun has a stock of Elven wine at 60-80 unari a bottle.

The Stone Wyvern also has sufficient stabling for 20 horses. Stabling is 6 unari a day including grooming and feeding.

Drun prefers his clientele to be Dwarven (Hill or Mountain) and has been known to give discounts to all-Dwarven parties of travellers.
