The 56th Imperial Legion is one of seven Legions stationed permanently in Thorast. This legion serves the westernmost region of Thorast - from Aanvang Island across to the eastern edge of the Hammer Peaks, including towns such as Brindol and Overlook.
Like most legions, the ten cohorts which make up its full force are stationed across a number of forts in the region, often in conjunction with cohorts of other legions. These are distributed as follows;

The size of each cohort varies but 450-550 is usual, hence the full strength of the 56th legion stands at about 5000 soldiers.
